Welcome to Kerala Food Guide, the blog aimed at all the food enthusiasts out there! Whether you are a regular/culinary tourist who wants to know more about the rich and diverse variety of South Indian food and especially what Kerala's cuisine has to offer, or a resident who likes to keep abreast of the new restaurants that have mushroomed over the recent years in Kochi, you should be able to get a fair idea once you read our articles on South Indian food and restaurant reviews! Moreover, we will eventually guide you to the best places to get the exotic ingredients you need for your cooking too.

We love to take a break from our busy schedules and relax. To us, that relaxation generally comes in the form of dining out! After all, who doesn't like to grab a tasty bite once in a while? Even though we usually do not eat red meats like beef or mutton since they are unhealthy, we do eat chicken and most seafood. We are food enthusiasts who love to experiment and evaluate dishes from all kinds of different cuisines such as Chinese, North Indian, South Indian, American, Italian, Spanish, French, Arabic and so on. There seemed to be no dedicated websites or blogs regarding the food scenario in Kochi, so we are here to guide you through some of the places we've been to and will post detailed reviews of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food served there. We live a stone’s throw away from the largest mall in India, that’s right- Lulu International Shopping Mall. Hence, it is one of our most favorite haunts, especially the food court and the goodies at the hypermarket!

This blog tries to follow an informal style to make you feel more at home. Hence, we try to make 'creative' headings for the articles and the articles themselves are written in a personal, carefree manner like you would talk to a friend, which makes for easy and fun reading. We also try to include a few [largely lame] jokes and puns wherever possible, which you may choose to ignore.

You could also use the date-wise links at the side to navigate. The labels at the side may also help you. There is a translation tool at the very top on the right side. 

Depending on the response we receive, we will keep updating this blog with new places, and further update existing restaurant reviews with newer menu items we try. We will visit places to give you as much information as possible and completely unbiased reviews about the quality of food served there. We will also upload pictures and scans of menus gradually to spice things up. I wish to apologize for the rather ghastly watermarks on the photos but it is justified: it takes hours to create these posts and develop these photos but only seconds (or less?) to copy it.
